  What do you think is behind the watchtower change in 2008 ?

  i think it's an atempt to catch faders or atleast make active dubs feel special.

  it also could be a cost cutting measure to though.

  getting rid of the km's and even up awakes and watchtowers would save some trees.

  it was 1973 and the wt was in full cult mode.

  they wanted to purify the organization in preparation for the coming "great day of jehovah.

  Disfellowshipping - How long to return?

  does anybody know how long it takes for one to get re-instated if you are not that well liked by the body of elders?

  i was disfellowshiped for immorality almost 2 years ago.

  with my job and attending college to keep in step with my field of work, i have only been attending the sunday talk & wt meeting every week.

  To greendawn, you might just want to watch that some of the paint doesn't land on yourself while you're busy up on that ladder. It can be hard to remove. And sometimes the wind can come along and even knock you off the ladder you're on. I know, it's happened to me before.

  i have been following the story on the duggar family ever since i saw it when they were having their 15th child.

  we get it on pay tv here.

  I'm hitting 40 soon and no wonder things still are hard for me. My parents couldn't see eye to eye about what was right for the 3 children they brought into the world, never mind the lack of morals of the one and the lack of spine and backbone of the other, them splitting when I was 15 and divorcing when I was 18. Now I sit in front of a computer most days on JWD to try to find some intelligent conversation. That's the deteriorated world of a city of a million people awash in money, spending it on drugs, alcohol, trips, loose living, thinking as if "fun" meant "right".

  i thank you for your support for my sadness over my divorce, and not taking in the faith of the witnesses no more.

  i tried the search engine for some articles and it said it was being updated.. i am still believing in the word of god, i dont believe anymore in greedy people.

  how many here believe that christ will still return?.

  cults come and go so do you think the wtbts will eventually come to an end?

  i think about this sometimes and i wonder if i will live to see it.

  the reason why i want it to end is because i don't like the administration.

  They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.

  Isaiah 11 is a wonderful reminder of the Paradise soon ahead.

  she just read it and handed it back to me.

  i think she believes me because i have never told her anything regarding the jw's that wasn't true.

  she really didn't have anything to say about it, and i didn't question her.

  When the light gets brighter, it's easier to discern what a person's really looking at. And when it's quite dark out, as you get closer to the object, the mirage cuts out and reality clicks in.

  The Awake! placement numbers are up, with the 2006 change. The Watchtower placement numbers are sure to be up too, with the 2008 change. It will be easier to know who's serious and who's not, and where the needs in the field are.
